Ocassionaly I have come across some issues or functionality that I need, but isn’t there out of the box, or needs a workaround because of hosting limitations.

Reading Time
I had a project that required the reading time of post to be displayed. Unfortunately the available plugins where almost universally banned from WordPress.com.
Answer? – build one yourself. This one does work on WordPress.com without any issues.
